Corporate
We have an excellent safety record. All of our activities take place in safe secure environments that are appropriate to provide a safe introduction to adventure activities.
We have carried out detailed risk assessments of all aspects of The Great Escape, including activity sessions and other areas. We review and update these assessments on a regular basis with the whole staff team and ensure that children are not placed in risk situations. Copies of our risk assessments are provided. We can also give full support as needed in the completion of any safety related documentation, required by your local authority or any other body, prior to your visit to The Great Escape.

Yes all our staff are over the age of 27 years and have qualifications in the tasks that they are instructing. All our staff are CRB checked and they all hold different levels of first aid.
Yes. We have comprehensive public liability insurance cover in place for up to £5m. We also recommend that all visiting groups are covered by an appropriate travel insurance scheme that covers travel to and from the site, as well as cancellation and curtailment benefits.
It is our policy to welcome inspection visits from prospective group leaders either during a camp that is running so The Great Escape can be seen in action, or at a mutually convenient time to both parties so that requirements can be discussed.
We offer 10 man sleeping tents, all with American style cot beds. These are extremely comfortable and we even supply hot tea and coffee outside the tents in the morning! Please do view our kit list so that your team arrives with the right bedding and clothing. This will make their stay with us much more enjoyable.
There are male and female portable loos on site that have sinks and mirrors to enable basic washing and hygiene. Normally clients are only on site for one night and these facilities, on that basis, are more than adequate.
It’s excellent and there is plenty of it! Tea, coffee, biscuits and cakes are available throughout the day. Breakfast is a choice of cereals, hot bacon baps and crossiants along with juice, tea & coffee. At lunchtime we either provide a BBQ or p a buffet style cold lunch, which can be eaten either round the camp fire or in the mess tent. In the evenings we provide drinks and canapés round the campfire prior to a superb three course hot supper in the mess tent with plenty of good wine and beer. All our food is home cooked and where possible locally sourced. We are more than happy to cater for any dietary requirements, please let us know when booking the camp and we will cater accordingly.
