For over 4 years, The Great Escape has offered bespoke rural day and overnight school camps in Shropshire. These include adventures for children specializing in team building and leadership. As a result of our success and growing reputation we have introduced more and more exciting adventure camp activities. Today, The Great Escape remains a trusted name in adventure camps for schools and corporates too.

We take great pride in ensuring that every visiting group enjoys an unforgettable experience. We believe that we offer the best residential activity courses available for 7 to 18 year olds, confirmed by the fact that more than 95% of visiting schools return year after year. We offer one, two or three day school camps the longer being more suited to older children. Since our first school camp we have consulted closely with teachers, parents and children to ensure that we are continuing to deliver the best possible experience.

School Camp Staff
Our school camp staff are all aged over 27 years and they are friendly, qualified, conscientious, professional and fun. They are a highly motivated team that understands children’s needs and have a natural desire to help young people to discover and achieve their full potential. All members of our team are subject to CRB checks.
During the day the ratio is 1 adult team leader to 10-12 children. There is always a female member of staff on site to look after the children’s well being – she is a mother of three children herself.
All our staff sleep on site in tents nearby the children. They are always available should a child have a problem during the night.
The quality of our team leaders is central to the success of our school camps; we are committed to providing a safe, worry free environment for all, ensuring that school staff and children have a positive and happy experience.
The Great Escape staff provide total supervision for children attending our camps throughout their visit, giving accompanying staff/teachers the chance to relax in the beautiful countryside or be involved in as much of the programme as they wish.
